Rachel is the youngest Faith on View artist. She is currently a junior at Maryland Institute College of Art. This semester she is going to study abroad in Wroclaw, Poland at the National Institute of Fine Art. Her work which has always touched on houses is starting to become focused on urban decay and the relationship between rural and city environments. Both are God's creations and yet they are so vastly different. Living in NYC and then moving to Baltimore and seeing the boarded up houses along with the Maryland countryside has influenced her work dramatically in the past year. She hopes that while in Poland the culture and the closeness to history will further spur her ideas and allow her to pinpoint her topic.
