Beauty is an integral part of God's creation. The world we live in is filled with beauty. Jeanne's art, though abstract, references both God's creation and the more metaphysical concept of beauty. Unlike the patriarchs of American abstract painting, the Abstract Expressionists, Thomsen's work is joyful and optimistic. While the Abstract expressionists often referenced the emptiness they found in life, Thomsen references the joy and fulfillment found in Christ Jesus.
